How to Measure for Press-On Nails
MY NAIL GIFT / NAIL GUIDES
Nail width, length and shape are separate decisions. Use the illustrated measurement steps below and compare the result with the actual listing before adding adhesive.

Your illustrated guide
A comfortable press-on nail fit starts with the curved width of each natural nail. Measure both hands or both feet, then compare your results with the chart for the set you are choosing.
Measure all ten fingernails
- Start with bare nails. Place a flexible measuring tape across the widest part of the nail. Follow the curve from one side edge to the other.
- Read the curved width in millimetres. Start at the zero mark and read at the opposite nail edge. One centimetre equals ten millimetres.
- Record every finger on both hands. The two sides may differ. Note your thumb, index, middle, ring and little-finger widths for each hand.
Compare with the product chart
Use the size chart for your chosen set; size names are not a universal measurement. If you are between sizes, choose the larger fit and gently file the sides for a closer fit. A nail that is too small cannot be made wider.

Measure all ten toenails
- Measure the curved width. Start with bare toenails and place a flexible tape across the widest part, following the nail from side to side.
- Record both feet. Read the opposite edge in millimetres and measure every toe, including the smaller toenails.
- Choose with the set’s own chart. Compare each measurement with the product chart. If between sizes, select the larger fit and gently file the sides.
