Press-On Nail FAQ
MY NAIL GIFT / NAIL GUIDES
A comfortable fit starts with understanding your set. These answers help you choose a length, compare adhesives and use the matching illustrated instructions.

Press-on nails, tabs and nail stickers
What are press-on nails?
Press-on nails are shaped nail pieces attached to your natural nails using an appropriate adhesive. They differ from thin decorative nail stickers and nail-polish wraps. At My Nail Gift, check the listing for the actual product type.
Are adhesive tabs the same as nail stickers?
Adhesive tabs—sometimes called jelly tabs or sticky tabs—are adhesive pads used under press-on nail pieces. Decorative nail-art stickers go on a nail surface; they are not interchangeable with attachment tabs.
Do these guides require a UV lamp?
Our application guide covers adhesive tabs and the nail glue described with the set. It is not a guide for UV-cured gel wraps or semi-cured gel strips. Follow the supplied adhesive label rather than substitute another product.
Size, shape and length
Does short or long tell me the nail width?
No. Length describes how far the nail extends, while width determines the side-to-side fit. Compare measurements for the particular set using our Size & Fit guide.
What if a nail is too narrow?
Do not force it to fit or cover exposed edges with excess glue. Recheck the measurements and available sizes for the set. Contact us before adhesive use if you need help.
Can I use fingernail pieces on my toes?
Use a set intended for toenails and compare its measurements. Fingernail and toenail pieces can differ in shape, width and curvature. Browse press-on toenails and the toe-sizing diagram in our size guide.
Application and adhesives
Should I use tabs or glue?
Tabs suit a first fit check and temporary wear. Glue can provide a firmer attachment and needs the matching removal method. Use the instructions supplied with the actual product and our illustrated application guide.
Are all tools included?
Only the listing or supplied set information can confirm its contents. Do not assume a file, alcohol pads, wooden stick or glue remover is included because a guide mentions them.
How long will the nails stay on?
Wear depends on fit, adhesive, preparation and daily activity. We do not promise a fixed number of days for every set or wearer. Avoid treating the nail tips as tools.
What if a nail lifts?
Do not seal moisture or debris under a lifted edge. Remove it gently using the correct method and reassess the fit and preparation before any fresh application.
Removal, reuse and everyday care
How should I remove my press-on nails?
Use the method for your adhesive and allow it to release. Never pry or pull a firmly attached nail. Our illustrated safe-removal guide separates tabs from glue.
Can I reuse them?
Intact nails worn with tabs can often be reused after gentle removal, cleaning and drying. Glue or remover can affect shape and finish; reuse is not guaranteed. Follow the set and adhesive instructions.
What if I feel discomfort?
Stop use and remove the product gently as directed. Do not apply over damaged nails or irritated skin. For persistent discomfort or a reaction, seek appropriate professional advice. Product and adhesive labels take precedence.
How should I store a set?
Keep cleaned, dry, intact pieces together in a clean container and protect decorative details from pressure. Keep adhesive products sealed and stored according to their labels.
